Who is Mike Edmonds?

I am a Clinical Psychologist (Provisional) for the Saskatchewan Health Authority. My work mainly involves providing individual and group therapy using CBT, DBT, and ACT approaches.

I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina in 2023. For my doctoral research, I worked with the Online Therapy Unit on a number of projects focused on improving the effectiveness of internet-delivered therapy for anxiety and depression. The research articles I have been involved in can be found on my Research Gate Profile

After completing my first degree in biochemistry and scientific computing at University of Waterloo in 2004, I began a career as an entrepreneur and computer programmer. Some of the organizations I worked for included universities and mental health not-for-profits, which helped spark my interest in psychology. I then returned to Waterloo in 2012 to complete a B.A. in Psychology. My honours thesis focused on cognitive mechanisms in social anxiety.

Outside of work, I'm an avid cyclist. I enjoy road, gravel, and mountain biking, and pride myself on being a year-round cyclocommuter. I'm always up for a ride, so drop me a line if you're also a pedal pusher. My hobbies also include photography, reading and music. I also like to play soccer, squash and badminton.
