We hop on the JR Beetle jet ferry from Fukuoka, Japan to Busan, South Korea. There we explore the city, hit up a baseball game, and tour Gamcheon Culture Village. Hiroshima, Japan, 2012
Nicole and I learn that Hiroshima is more than a city that had an atomic bomb dropped on it. It's a beatiful city that stands as a monument for peace. We also take a trip out to stunning Miyajima Island. Nara, Japan, 2012

We complete the epic 5 day hike from Western Brook Pond to Gros Morne Mountain. Beautiful vistas and wildlife sightings keep us motivated through difficult terrain. We spoil ourselves with a nice hotel in St. Anthony afterward. St. Pierre & Burin Peninsula, Summer 2011

Our first full year Newfoundland was filled with adventures. Visits from our Ontario friends kicked off the summer, which Nicole and I followed up with numerous hiking and canoe trips. We even managed to find our way downtown to some great events. California, Summer 2008
Nicole recently spent 3 weeks at UC Santa Cruz performing barite extraction on cores taken from the ocean floor. I went down for the last week she was there and did some hiking while she was in the lab. We managed to spend the last couple days in San Francisco. Hong Kong, Spring 2008
