Small Towns Are Changing

While I was out visiting my parents I went into Port Hope and Cobourg. I haven't been into either for a while, and I was surprised at the amount of change.
Everyone's heard stories about small towns being overrun by big box stores like Walmart and Home Depot. For some reason, it's different when it's YOUR small town being overrun. Our claim to fame used to be that we lived so far out of the city, that the nearest town didn't even have a McDonald's - you had to go to Cobourg for that. blog comments powered by Disqus |
